About ASHLEY

My love of photography came from my mother, who at the age of 19 picked up her first camera to capture the lives of her two young daughters. She was always adamant about documenting our lives, from simple moments when we were young like riding bikes and jumping rope outdoors, to special moments, like graduating from college. I once asked my mother why she took so many photos, she replied, "I never had any photos of myself, my siblings or any of our extended family growing up. That's why I take so many pictures, so that you all can look back on your lives, and have documented photos to show future generations, too." Inspired by my mothers words, I picked up my camera and made the decision to start capturing special moments in my own life and the lives of others. 

I am a Chicago transplant, hailing from St. Louis, MO. I am a firm believer that life is about enjoyment and following your dreams. I love: my family, dancing, empowering others and of course photography. 

When we grow older,  we will all reminisce about years past and the experiences that helped create what our lives are up until that point. I think visual, tangible photos only enhance the greatness of those stories. Photography is much more than simply taking pictures; its helping people feel beautiful about themselves and capturing moments that my clients will have to share with generations to come. My work and passion are one, and I look forward to sharing the moments that will take place in your life in the years to come through my special lens.
